The New Kids on the Block...

Although Lacrosse is one of the first sports every played in Canada (the Indians of Eastern Canada played the game), professional lacrosse didn't make it to Edmonton until 2005. But now it is here and gaining popularity each game.

The Edmonton Rush is the Edmonton professional lacrosse team and plays in the same areana as the hockey team.

Edmonton's Sports Holy Grail

When it comes to sport in the great white north... nothing comes close to Hockey and the holy grail of hockey is the Edmonton Oilers. These banners hang from the Oilers' home area Rexall Place. This arena witnessed a miracle last year when this team made it to the Stanley Cup final. During this playoff run, you couldn't find ticket in town.
What to do when you don't want to go outside. This is one option, head over to the Muttart Conservatory. The Muttart not only has fish, but it is also known for it flowers.

Pictures from the Family Day

Happy Family Day!

These are a few more pictures of Edmonton Ski Hill. This is one of two ski hills within the city limits of Edmonton.

And when they aren't skiing, there are a number of outdoor enthusiast who still head down to the ski slopes to toboggan.

But there are others who slide down without any help.

So... at noon on February 16, 2007; the light turned on for the first time for Edmontondailyphoto.

I hope you enjoy it.
